This is the stunning Bath Abbey with the Pump rooms to the right of the image and the ancient Roman baths behind that. This was a shot I have been after for a very long time indeed. I had tried in vain a few years earlier however the snow was thin and slushy. Unlike times past in England it does not snow as much as you would being up so far on the Northern hemisphere (Scotland being a stone throw from the arctic circle). This is due to the gulf stream keeping things nice and cozzy in the winter months. So this is a very rare image that may only happen every 7-10years or many, many decades!
Having the Abby illuminated was wonderful and gives a sense of time to this very picturesque Georgian City
