Description
This is the stunning Castle Combe village in a heavy snowfall. I have been photographing this stunning village for well over a decade and have never seen it like this before. As Castle combe is situated in the southwest of England a scene like this is very rare indeed, in my life time I may never see it like this again!
I had spent the whole week before this with flu and still felt a bit delicate, I was supposed to help family members move house that day also. But after spending the whole night up in excitement knowing about the snowfall the next day I dossed up on paracetamol, grabbed the gloves and headed out. I photographed a cottage first in another part of the area that didn't work out.
So I headed to Castle Combe. The snow kept up until 2pm that day by which time my head wanted to carry on taking images in these rare condition but my body was flat out done.
In total I made 3 panoramas to this incredible beautiful Snowy scene in the south west of England. This was a dream project I waited a very long time for and may never see again.
A very Charles Dickens Christmas image.
